The fees listed are from last year, we are still working out the final details so be sure to check back as I will update as soon as I have the updated information.  Also stay tuned for all of the event information such as registrations, event shirts and the potential to have some live entertainment on Saturday night.

Here’s the low down!

Friday 3/16 – Open wheeling, there will be several of us on site and  hitting the trails on Friday. We generally reserve this day for guided Sponsor runs for the members of TexasJK.  So come out and get behind your favorite sponsor or hit trails with one you’ve never wheeled with before.

Saturday 3/17 is the official event day!

Saturday Morning – Organize, prep & Hit the trails around 9am.

There will be plenty of trail guides for all levels on Saturday that are  provided by the Arkansas Crawlers. We will have a drivers meeting and  then break into groups from there so please get to the park as early as  possible as we will strive to get everyone on the trails around 9am and  we usually end up regrouping after lunch because there will always be  folks that want to switch from group to group or fall off during lunch.

Saturday Lunch – You are on your own, bring it with you, etc.

Saturday Dinner – Saturday Night Dinner is going to be provided by  TexasJK directly and Tribe 4×4 at no charge so come hungry! Free meals  are a TexasJK tradition!!

There will be one heck of a raffle on Saturday night with several  sponsors attending and offering donations so please be sure to bring  cash to the event in order to buy tickets. RAFFLE TICKETS WILL BE $2  EACH AND YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. They will be available for sale  before and after the run on Saturday up through dinner. If you are  staying at the motel you can purchase directly through me on Thurs/Fri.  Last years raffle had some incredible prizes and this year will no doubt  be as good if not better.

Sunday 3/20 – Open wheeling for all, most of us will be hitting the road, but feel free to wheel to you hearts content.  There will not be any events/guided runs.

Registration for the event and costs:

Non-members of Superlift ORV Park: $55 per vehicle, no charge for passengers.
Members of Superlift ORV Park: Normal day fees, $15 per day.

I’m not sure but last year all registrations had to be done on-site  rather than online. Hopefully that is fixed now. Registration will be  $55 per vehicle for those not a current member of Superlift Off-Road  Vehicle Park. Current members will pay the normal day rates to access  the park. All registrations are per vehicle, there is no additional  charge for passengers. Registration will take place in the park office  begining on Thursday at 9:00am and continuing through the weekend.  Visitors who can only attend for one day are more than welcome and are  subject only to the park’s daily rates ($30 for non-members and $15 for  members). Though the event is Friday-Sunday, the park is open additional  days. Any additional days are at the normal rate.

Camp Sunshine 2012

Sunday, January 1st, 2012
August 18, 2012

Every year the Arkansas Crawlers sponsor a trip to Superlift ORV Park. Not only are there a lot of Arkansas Crawlers there, but also MidSouth Jeepers from the Memphis area. The theme this year for the camp is Super Heroes and the date is August 18, 2012.

Camp Sunshine was founded in 1991 by a nurse who worked at the Burn Center who had the desire to develop a camp for children who survived burn injuries. The goal of the camp is to promote physical and emotional healing as well as growth and development of burned children. Camp Sunshine, has given an opportunity for burn survivors across the state to establish lasting friendships, experience personal growth and develop life-long memories. In the past 18 years, the camp has grown from four campers to over 50 participants, not including approximately 70 volunteers and counselors.

Camp Sunshine is generously sponsored and co-organized by the Arkansas Professional Firefighters Association. They conduct fund-raisers throughout the year to make the camp free for survivors. In 2005, the Little Rock Firefighters generously accepted a payroll deduction plan to raise their share of the funds.

The camp is open to children 4-17 years of age who have sustained over 10% total body surface area (TBSA) burns with scarring and/or children with significant scarring over hands or face. In addition to firefighters and staff members from ACH, adult burn survivors may attend as a counselor or volunteer.
