Trail Report: Ouachita Jeep Jamboree

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

If you are new to the sport or just haven’t made it to a Jeep Jamboree, start thinking about hitting the 23rd Annual Ouachita Jamboree next October!

Jeep® Jamborees are off-road adventure weekends that bring together the outdoors, down-to-earth people, and their Jeep 4x4s. These off-road treks have a long tradition dating back to 1953 when 4×4 pioneer Mark A. Smith organized the first ever Jeep Jamboree and voyaged across the Sierra Nevada Mountains by way of the old Rubicon Trail. In 1954, Willys Motors — then manufacturer of Jeep vehicles — became involved with the adventure, and Jeep Jamborees have been an off-road tradition ever since.

The 2010 Ouachita Jeep Jamboree was a success with people from a dozen states all getting a taste of Ouachita Mountain trails, wildlife, and of course the views of the changing leafs in Arkansas!

Trail Report: Mid-South Jeep Club’s Fall Run 2010

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

Mid South Jeep Club held their Annual Fall Run, right here at Superlift ORV Park. There was plenty of trail riding from mild to wild. This event was as layed back as they come, no muss, no fuss, just some great trail action, a Recover Class and lunch by the Arkansas Crawlers, and some great weather for hitting the trails and soaking up some of the changing colors on the Ouachita Mountain scenery.

Check out Midsouthjeeps.com for more trail shots and info on the next MSJC run.
